Statement from the chairman
| Without prejudice. This message has been written in response to an allegation that T.N.C. operates a policy that is biased against single male naturists. I feel compelled to refute this allegation, as equal opportunities for singles and couples alike are fundamental to the club's constitution. Any individual over the age of 18 is eligible to request a visit and no-one is ever turned down without good reason. All prospective members who make the required number of visits will be considered for full membership, should they so wish. I feel great pride in the fact that T.N.C. does not discriminate on grounds of age, race, gender, sexuality or relationship status. Sadly, there will always be occasions when the committee and I feel the need to refuse access to certain individuals or parties because we believe that their behaviour/attitude is detrimental to the enjoyment of the club by other members and guests. Under such circumstances, we may choose to suspend or exclude an individual or party from the club. Such decisions are not taken lightly, and other than in cases of gross misconduct, a consensus of the committee members present on site would be required. It is inevitable that some people who are excluded will be single male naturists, but this should not be confused with prejudice against single male naturists. T.N.C. is a private club and access to the facility is a privilege rather than a right. We are happy to grant visits to all who show a genuine interest in naturism, but we also reserve the right to withdraw this privilege for any reason and without explanation. October 2008 was 'Cancer Awareness' month at TNC, with several events held to raise money for Cancer Research. We are happy to report that we managed to raise a total of £1002.50 (a figure which shows only too well that every little does help) and that we will be handing over a cheque to the charity shortly. A big thank-you goes out to all of the event organisers, and of course to everyone who made a donation.Site Navigation
